Greetings and Farewells in Spanish with Examples

 Hello, everyone!

In this first lesson we are going to learn some Basic Greetings and Farewells in Spanish in the most simple way.

Let's start with some examples of Greetings:

• Buenos días = Good Morning
• Buenas tardes = Good afternoon
• Buenas noches = Good evening/night.

We use these greetings in Spanish with everyone, although it has a little touch of seriousness.

If we see a friend on the street, we can say simply:

• Hola = Hello

When we say any greeting, we usually use a question, although is not necessary to answer. Here we have some examples:

• Hola. ¿Cómo estás? = Hello, how are you?
• Buenos días ¿Cómo te va? = Good morning ¿How is it going? 

There are many other questions we can do but at the moment it's ok to practices with these. The important of this lesson is to learn only greetings and farewells in Spanish.

Farewells in Spanish

In this case, we can also say the same first options we spoke for greetings:

• Buenos días 
• Buenas tardes
• Buenas noches

In addition, we have the next options:

• Adiós = Bye
• Nos vemos = See you
• Hasta luego = See you later
• Hasta la vista = (We don't have how to translate this in English :D! But it's similar like "See you later")

And well. We have all these options to use when you arrive to a meeting or when you want to leave.
